Yepez Found Guilty In Drive-By Shooting

A jury on Wednesday found Armando Yepez guilty in the drive-by shooting that killed 17-year-old Gabriel Salgado.

The shooting happened last November on 21st street in Oceano.

Another teenager was shot in the leg and survived.

Armando Yepez was arrested during a traffic stop on Highway 101 in Nipomo in May.

Salgado was a senior at Lopez High School in Arroyo Grande.  Friends said he was never in a gang.  He was just in the wrong place at the wrong time.
