Updates On Yesterday’s Accidents

Here’s a follow up on an accident we told you about yesterday morning.  The collision between a bmw and semi truck closed highway 166 for three hours.  It occurred not far from 101.

21-year-old Chritian Rossi from Torrence was driving his bmw at a high rate of speed when he crashed into 59-year-old Todd Huffman from Florida.  Due to the impact the truck overturned and landed on its side.  Rossi suffered major injuries and was taken to a hospital.

He was also arrested for driving while under the influence of alcohol. Huffman and his passenger were uninjured. Chp is still investinging.

And in an update on an accident that occurred Monday night here in San Luis Obispo, one of the victims in a two car collision on Highway 101 southbound near the Santa Rosa off ramp was identified as 17-year-old Alex Maier from San Luis Obispo.

He is in critical condition. Maier’s truck ended up on a guardrail after clipping a highway sign. The other car skidded onto the shoulder. SLO PD is looking into that.
