United Blood Services Needs to Collect More Blood

United Blood Services California needs to collect over 5,000 pints of blood and platelets before May 31st, in order to ensure a steady and ample supply. As of May 14th they have collected 1,800 donations and they still have 3,200 donations to go. Memorial Day marks the beginning of summer for the Blood Bank, when donations unfortunately decrease just as the demand increases. In an effort to keep a ready supply, United Blood Services is issuing a 5,000 Donations Summer Kick-off Challenge where they’re thanking donors with double the Hero Points in our Hero Rewards Store at all fixed site locations in Ventura, Santa Barbara, Santa Maria, San Luis Obispo and all mobile blood drives.
