The Food Bank Coalition of San Luis Obispo County is holding the 6th annual event in an effort to raise money and awareness of the ever-growing demand for food assistance in our county. The Food Bank hopes to raise $150,000 this year. An estimated 44,000 people in the county suffer from food insecurity, Food Bank officials said. More than 40 percent of the Food Bank’s clients are under the age of 18.
More than two dozen donation sites will be set up today in various locations around San Luis Obispo County. Donations can be made online or at any Robabank branch in the county. Checks can be mailed to P.O. Box 2070, Paso Robles, CA, 93447.
