Paso Robles, CA – The San Luis Obispo County Sheriff's Office has identified a man accused of attempting to murder a CHP officer last Saturday in Paso Robles. 22-year-old Clifford Albert Scott. Jr. was booked into San Luis Obispo County Jail for allegedly shooting a CHP officer after a brief car and foot pursuit in Paso Robles. Scott and the officer exchanged gunfire.
The officer working out of the Templeton CHP office was released from the hospital and is recovering from his injuries. He is on paid administrative leave until the investigation into the incident is finished.
