The San Luis Obispo Council of Governments this week will be mailing surveys to more than 2,000 randomly selected individuals, asking for their thoughts on bicycling and how bicyclists behave on the Central Coast.
SLOCOG planners say, the survey is expected to help develop programming and infrastructure investment priorities and help increase understanding of the current bicycling system and its use as a transportation option.
The cost of the survey (5,000 bucks) is being split between SLOCOG and the Air Pollution Control District.
The San Luis Obispo County Bicycle Coalition will be conducting the survey. You will be able to see the data results sometime in August at SLOCOG.org.
