Shumey Found Sane During Time Of Murder

Christopher Shumey was sane during the time he shot his mother to death. So says a jury who deliberated and came in with the verdict yesterday.

On February 5, Shumey was found guilty in the second degree of murdering his mother in September of 2011. He was also found guilty of assault on a peace officer.

Sentencing is set for March 21. Shumey faces 50 years to life in prison.
