Rescue Made After Young Adults Fall Off Cayucos Pier

Cayucos, CA — On Saturday, at about 8:45 in the evening, SLO County sheriff’s deputies, Cal-Fire, Cayucos Fire, and Morro Bay Fire, responded to the Cayucos Pier to a report that there were three juveniles in the water at the end of the pier.  

On arrival, deputies learned that two young adults fell into the water from the pier.  A third young adult entered the water to attempt rescue. One male and a female made it to shore on their own. The second male was rescued by Morro Bay Fire Dept.

The rescued swimmer was transported to a local hospital for observation.
