Police Search For Suspect In Morro Bay Robberies

Morro Bay, CA — On October 23, at about 5:32 p.m., Morro Bay Police Officers responded to Morro Bay Cigarettes, at 640 Quintana Rd., regarding a reported robbery.  The clerk of the business called 911 and reported a male entered the store and demanded money while showing what appeared to be a handgun tucked into his waistline.

The clerk described the robber as a white male adult, about 20 to 25 years of age, wearing a tan, canvas type jacket with an attached hood, a black baseball style hat, a black bandana covering his face, dark blue jeans, and dark colored shoes.  The robber exited the business and fled on foot to an unknown location.  The loss to the business was an undetermined amount of cash.

On November 2, at about 10:46 p.m., Morro Bay Police Officers responded to Cork and Bottle Liquor, 396 Atascadero Rd., regarding another reported robbery.  The clerk at the business in this case also described a male suspect showing what appeared to be a handgun tucked into the front of his waistline.  The clerk described the suspect as a white male adult between 18-25 years of age, about 5’ 7” tall, wearing a black bandana, a red-plaid sweatshirt over a black “Tap Out” t-shirt, dark blue jeans and black shoes.  The suspect also wore a black baseball cap with “fox” lettered in white on the front of the cap. A second male suspect was seen outside the business and was described as a shorter male, about 5’ 4”, wearing a gray sweatshirt with black stripes over blue jeans.  The loss to the business was about $500 in cash.
