Paso Robles, CA — On Friday, November 23 at 12:30 in the afternoon, Paso Robles firefighters responded to a vehicle crashing into a single-family residence at 1035 Veronica Street in Paso Robles.
Firefighters arriving at scene found a pick-up truck lodged inside the residence. Firefighters quickly determined that the driver and all occupants of the residence had safely exited the building prior to their arrival. Paramedics evaluated the driver and two building occupants; nobody was injured and all refused further medical treatment.
The vehicle had been traveling on Melody Drive when the driver lost control, struck a fence at 1034 Veronica Drive and continued into the single-family residence. The vehicle entered the home after traveling through the front yard, went through the living room and came to rest in an interior bedroom.
Two people were home at the time of the incident; one was located in the hallway and the other in a back bedroom, both remote from the location the pick-up truck entered the home. The home suffered significant damage and was determined to be not habitable by the City of Paso Robles Deputy Building Official. Firefighters constructed temporary shores to prevent collapse and secured the building.
The cause of the vehicle accident is being investigated by the Paso Robles Police Department.
