Paso Robles City Employee in Jail

A Paso Robles city employee has been sentenced to 20 days in jail. Charles Lorenzen, the former building, parks and streets supervisor of Paso Robles, was arrested on May 27 on charges of embezzling thousands of dollars from the city. Lorenzen faced three felony charges of grand theft and a misdemeanor charge of petty theft. In the plea agreement, Lorenzen plead guilty to the petty theft charge and the three felony charges were dropped. Lorenzen had been investigated for using his city credit card for personal purchases. He is currently out of jail on a $20,000 bond.
