Santa Maria, CA -- The suspected car thief accused of leading deputies on a high-speed chase through Santa Maria Thursday is out of the hospital and behind bars. 31-year-old Ryan Flatley is facing multiple felony charges. Deputies say he also had an outstanding warrant for being under the influence of a controlled substance and attacking a peace officer. The truck he rolled belongs to Alex Ochoa, who spent some of the morning checking out the damage to his truck and the things inside. The pursuit ended when Flatley crashed in front of Santa Maria High School. According to KSBY, Ochoa’s backpack and keys were stolen out of a locker at the YMCA.
