Morro Bay, CA -- Police arrested a man they say intentionally struck a pedestrian with a pickup truck yesterday morning in Morro Bay. 31-year-old Adrian Salais allegedly directed the possibly stolen truck he was driving towards the victim with the intent hit him at about 6:50. The victims name wasn’t released. Police suspected Salais may be armed with a handgun taken in a residential burglary reported on Friday where they suspect he may have also stolen the silver and gold GMC pickup. Salais drove away after the collision.
CHP officers found Salais on a local transit bus in San Luis Obispo this morning. They pulled the bus over at the corner of Santa Rosa Rd. and Highland Rd., near Cal Poly and took him into custody.
