Atascadero Burglars Make Off With Over $200,000 in Loot

Atascadero -- Police are on the look out for a suspected burglar who stole with about $200,000 worth of loot. On Wednesday night Police from the Atascadero PD were sent to a home on Fresno Ave. When they got there, the officers spoke to the resident who had just gotten home. She said that when she got home, her front door was wide open. Police searched the house and found no one.

They investigated and determined the suspect or suspects entered the home after 10 o’clock that morning. They found a safe in a home office, pushed it to the front door on its rollers. Then using a dolly the suspects apparently loaded it into a waiting vehicle. That safe had about $180,000 in gold coins, $10,000 in jewelry, and $8,000 cash.
