Mystery Smell in SLO Still A Mystery

 San Luis Obispo -- Much of San Luis Obispo smelled like natural gas yesterday morning. At about 8:30 the city started receiving several 911 calls about the smell in the area of Los Osos Valley Road, South Higuera, and Tank Farm Road. The fire and police departments along with other city agencies searched for the source of the odor.
By 12:30 the smell seemed to dissipate, and the search was called off. According to city officials, there was no indication that the odor was dangerous and no evacuations were ordered.
