Farmers vs. SLO Downtown Association

 San Luis Obispo -- For the past week, the SLO County Farmer’s Market Association has spent thousands of dollars in advertising to air their complaints about losing their decision making status to the Downtown Association.
Farmer’s claim that they were taken by surprise when the Downtown Association recently announced it would be now managing the farmers at the Thursday night SLO Farmer’s Markets along with everything else. The Downtown Association claims that it needs to assert more control because the farmers no longer have a representative on the Downtown Association’s Promotion’s Board.
A huge turnout of concerned citizens is expected to appear tonight at the City Council meeting to voice their opinions.
