San Luis Obispo -- A second person has died in San Luis Obispo County from the swine flu. An elderly man died on Christmas Day after being hospitalized for several weeks. He was at high risk for a severe case of the H1N1 virus because of underlying medical conditions.
Michelle Shoresman with the San Luis Obispo County Public Health Department says, "this is nothing unusual for a typical flu season. Typically during the flu season we see probably in an average month see between nine and 16 deaths, from pneumonia." In Santa Barbara County, six people have died from the swine flu.
Health Officials say there is plenty of H1N1 vaccine available in San Luis Obispo County.
