news@920kvec.com

Paso Robles -- A kidnapping led to an ICE bust of an illegal immigration smuggling operation.  On November 30, the Paso Robles Police Department was contacted by two women claiming their friends had been kidnapped. The Police Department investigated the claims. They learned of two men who were smuggled into the country in mid November. Those men said they were holding the victims and would not release them until money was transferred to a bank account in Mexico.

Officers were able to determine the suspects and victims were in the area of Tucson, Arizona. The Paso Police contacted agents from Immigrations and Customs Enforcement. ICE took over the investigation. They served two search warrants at two locations in Tucson. They recovered both unharmed victims.

Police discovered 14 smuggled and undocumented aliens; five suspects were arrested and three firearms were seized.
