Atascadero Man Imprisoned For Murdering His Baby Daughter

 San Luis Obispo -- A man has been sentenced to 31 years to life in prison after being convicted of beating his infant daughter to death. 29-year-old Atascadero resident, Fermin Palacios was convicted of second-degree murder, felony assault on a child younger than the age of 8, and child endangerment. Palacios’ 20-month-old daughter Natalia died in June 2007.
According to the Tribune, Palacios admitted to investigators that he had abused the infant, and had hit her chest the day she died. The girl’s mother, Arriane Brito, faces a separate trial connected to the baby’s death.
