Bicylist Gets Injured on Busy San Luis Obispo Street

An ambulance rushed a man to the hospital after being struck by a car on a busy San Luis Obispo street. 57-year-old William Douglas Jones was riding his bicycle westbound on Tank Farm Road near Long street when he suddenly turned in front of a car driven by 24-year-old Breana Dixon. Douglas was wearing a helmet at the time of the crash which happened just after 6:30 yesterday evening. Douglas was transported to the hospital for leg and head injuries. Police are continuing to investigate the circumstances surrounding the collision. If you witnessed the crash please call police at 781-7317.
