Bomb Squad Called to North County Home

Paso Police and the County Bomb Squad checked out a possible explosive device at a home in North County. Around 12:30 yesterday afternoon, a Paso Robles resident called police after finding a suspicious device that a relative left at the home on the 1600 block of Park Street. After taking one look at the device, police evacuated residents within a two block area surrounding the home. When Bomb Squad technicians got to the scene, they identified the device as a replica of a bomb. Three hours after police arrived, the streets were opened back up. Police determined that no crimes were associated with the investigation and closed the case.
