Crash on Highway 101 Kills a Santa Maria Man

A Santa Maria man was killed early yesterday morning while driving on Highway 101. Around 12:20 Monday morning, the 49-year-old driver lost control of his vehicle while driving southbound on Highway 101. According to The Tribune, the car hit a guardrail then the abutment to the Nipomo Creek Bridge, near the Santa Maria Speedway. The man, whose name hasn’t been release, was alone in the car. No other vehicles were involved in the collision.
