CalFire Knocks Down Two Fires in Paso Robles Over the Weekend
|
CalFire was busy in Paso Robles this weekend. On Sunday just before four o’clock in the afternoon, CalFire received a report of a brush fire off of Dover Canyon Road. Fire crews were able to contain the blaze in less than an hour. Approximately five acres of grass were burned. No word on what started that blaze.
The other fire involved a vacant 1,000 square-foot home. When firefighters arrived on the 500 block of 13th Street, they had to break into the building to better extinguish the fire. Firefighters had the blaze under control ten minutes after they arrived. No one was injured. The cause and the estimate of how much damage was done by the fire is being looked into.
