Young Girl is Now Dead After Being Injured at Pismo Beach

A young girl was injured earlier this month while swimming at a local beach. 12-year-old Megan McDonough from Brentwood was playing in the ocean at Pismo Beach when she began to drown. According to the Tribune, three lifeguards and two off-duty sheriffs, along with a surfer pulled her to the shore and gave her CPR. McDonough was taken to a hospital, and then flown to an Oakland Medical Center, where she died four days later. Authorities are looking in to the case.
