Demonstrations Call on Blakeslee to Oppose Budget Cuts

Tomorrow and Thursday SLO residents will gather to demand that Assemblymen Sam Blakeslee opposes cuts in the state budget. The organizers of the protests make several arguments for Blakeslee’s support. Their top point: if our state parks are closed, our coastal tourism industry will be severely damaged. Parks scheduled to be closed include Montana de Oro, Morro Bay Strand, and Hearst San Simeon State Park. The gathering begins tomorrow at 11:30 at the San Luis Obispo Government Center.
