Goleta Man Arrested for Indecent Exposure

The Santa Barbara County Sheriff deputies arrested a Goleta man for several incidences of indecent exposure. 59-year-old Glenn Merrill had posted an ad on Craigslist looking for a caregiver to help with household chores several days a week. Last Monday, a woman responded to the ad and agreed to meet Merrill for a job interview at his residence. During that interview, Merrill said that part of the job was helping him bathe, at which point, he began to undressed and asked the woman to help. She refused and left the residence. After she reported the incident, detectives connected Merrill to two similar occurrences in March. Merrill has been booked into Santa Barbara County Jail on $5,000 bail.
