Man in Jail for Threatening Childrean in a Park

A man threatened two children with what looked like a gun while at a park over the weekend. Yesterday, Grover Beach Police went to Hero Park on the 1600 block of La Selva to investigate the incident. The two juveniles were able to give police an accurate description of the suspect and the gun. Officers then arrested 57 year old Lowell Simmons of Grover Beach and found that the gun was actually a convincing toy. Lowell was booked into County Jail for criminal threats, displaying a weapon and annoying children.
