Missing Goleta Girl Found Dead

The body found in the brush off Highway 101 has been identified as the 14 year old Goleta girl who has been missing since Monday. The body of Christina Veloz-Payne was found between Highway 101 and Calle Real less than a mile from Girsh Park where she was last seen. The CHP thinks that she may have been trying to cross the highway and are conducting the investigation as a hit and run. The CHP is continuing their investigation.
