Firefighters Respond to Carbon Monoxide Scare at Local Restaurant

Alarms were set off yesterday afternoon at a local fast food restaurant, but it wasn’t because something was burning. Around 2 o’clock, Firefighters in Paso Robles were sent to the Jack in the Box and AM-PM Market on Ramada Drive after they received reports of carbon monoxide alarms sounding. When firefighters arrived, seven employees complained of symptoms similar to being poisoned by the harmful gas. Everyone was immediately evacuated from the building. The employees were evaluated; however they refused to go to the hospital. Firefighters used an electronic combustible gas indicator to find the source of the problem, but firefighters didn’t detect any carbon monoxide. The business re-opened at 3:30 that afternoon.
