Atascadero, CA -- Yesterday morning at approximately 10:41, Atascadero police were sent to the 9000 block of La Paz Road in the City of Atascadero to look for an elderly male subject who had left his residence on foot and had not been seen since 7:30 am.  After conducting a search of the immediate area the search was expanded and assistance from other agencies was requested  
 
 As the search progressed, the subject called his wife’s cell phone to say he was at a local business approximately 5 miles away from his residence on El Camino Real. 

Authorities contacted the subject and he was transported back to his residence where he was reunited with his family
