San Luis Obispo, CA -- California redevelopment agencies, which depend on property taxes to improve neigborhoods, no longer exist.  To help reduce the state budget deficit, monies going to the RDAs now go into the general fund. 

Agencies in SLO County are expected to lose $4.5 million.  A lawsuit was filed against the state last year, but it was overturned.
