San Luis Obispo, CA -- A San Luis Obispo piano teacher loses her right to teach students at home. Last night the City Council voted to revoke piano teacher Deborah Marcus’ permit, saying she was making too much noise.

The decision ends a more than yearlong battle between Marcus and neighbor Jay Chester, who share a common wall in a condominium near Laguna Middle School. The council gave Marcus until April 30 to stop giving lessons in her home.
