Oceano, CA -- A man is recovering at Arroyo Grande Community Hospital after he lost his arm when struck by a passing Amtrak train in Oceano just after 5 p.m. Friday.
According to Union Pacific Railroad which owns the track the man may have been trespassing and walking along the tracks a ways from the nearest signal. The incident is under investigation by the railroad.
