San Luis Obispo, CA -- Pacific Gas and Electric Co. will be conducting a series of siren tests today and tomorrow on its network of 131 emergency warning sirens. The tests will last from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. on both days.

The sirens are partially sounded several times a year in what are called growl tests. They are fully tested once a year, usually in August.
