Santa Ynez, CA -- An Arroyo Grande man was rescued by helicopter over the weekend. The Santa Barbara County Sheriff's Office said the man in his early 40s was doing a 17-mile hiking loop Saturday in the Nira campground. When he didn’t show up Saturday night, friends and family became concerned. Sunday morning the man managed to contact search and rescue crews by using a signal mirror. He is reportedly in good condition.
