Templeton, CA -- Federal authorities contacted San Luis Obispo County Sheriff's personnel in regards to a sentenced person living in San Luis Obispo County who was do to surrender for her prison term and federal agents believed she had been tampering with her electronic monitoring device.

A deputy from the sheriff's Templeton patrol station was dispatched to the residence of Jean Cross, 60 of Paso Robles where upon examination, she was detained for cutting off her monitoring device and then placing it back on. The device had activated indicating tampering.

Cross was taken into custody after federal agents obtained a warrant and she was booked into San Luis Obispo County Jail on hold for Federal Marshals.
