San Luis Obispo, CA -- The courthouse of San Luis Obispo County is expected to be the scene of a protest Tuesday morning. Patients and medical marijuana advocates are expected to demonstrate against the raids and arrests that happened in December of last year, when 15 people were jailed on December 27 during a raid in San Luis Obispo County. The people arrested all face charges in connection with possessing and selling marijuana, but many have yet to go to trial.

Protesters insist the case have been financially and emotionally draining. Authorities say the suspects violated the state’s Compassionate Use Act.
