San Luis Obispo, CA -- A female jogger on Vachell Lane off Buckley Road near the San Luis Obispo city limits was attacked from behind at 7:00 Tuesday morning. The jogger saw the man approaching as she was stopped to adjust equipment, including her iPod.

As she began running again she was suddenly grabbed from behind with a hand over her mouth. The woman spun around and hit the man with her iPod causing him to back away, the woman also started aggressively yelling at the suspect. The woman then continued running toward the city limits and called 911.

Responding sheriff's units checked the surrounding area, however did not locate the suspect. Persons who may have seen the suspect in the area are asked to call the SLO County Sheriff's Office with information.
