San Luis Obispo, CA -- On Thursday December 15th at noon, a rally will be held in San Luis Obispo against the almost $1 billion in trigger cuts to health and human services and education programs announced by the Governor on Tuesday. At the event social safety net advocates will stress the human impact of these cuts, which include a $100 million cut to in-home supportive services and a $100 million cut to developmental disability services. The rally will take place at the office of State Senator Sam Blakeslee, 605 Santa Rosa Street, Suite B San Luis Obispo, CA 93401, in coordination with events in Los Angeles, Riverside, San Jose, and Sacramento.
