SAR Sgt. Mark Maki encourages anyone with an at risk person in their home who suffers from autism, dementia, Alzheimer’s or other condition that causes confusion to contact Project Lifesaver, by clicking on the link at SLOSHERIFF.org. A special bracelet is available that allows public safety personnel to locate at risk adults or children more rapidly in the event they leave their place of residence without proper escort.
