Santa Maria, CA -- Santa Maria's only Spanish speaking local television newscast is going off the air December 15th, according to the news director at KPMR Univision-Entravision station. The station serves 230 thousand Latino households in the Central Coast. Blanca Figueroa, an anchor and news reporter with KPMR which has serving the Central Coast for eight years, shared the news in emails to various community leaders. She said the station's general manager informed her of the decision on Monday and cited financial problems.
