San Luis Obispo, CA -- The drivers of two vehicles involved in a crash at Broad and Fiero last week have been identified. A Ford Focus driven by Michelle Whittaker, age 19, of San Luis Obispo turned in front of a United Blood Services Bus driven by Christopher Godfrey, age 29, also of San Luis Obispo. Ms. Whittaker is currently in critical condition at Sierra Vista Hospital. Mr. Godfrey is employed by a maintenance service that was contracted to service the bus. He was not injured as a result of the collision. Neither alcohol nor drugs are suspected to be a factor in this collision. The investigation is being handled by the San Luis Obispo Police Department Traffic Safety Unit.
