Morro Bay, CA -- Two San Luis Obispo County Sheriff's deputies responding to a drunk in public call on Monday afternoon located the man lying by the side of the road in the 900 block of Little Morro Creek Road in an unincorporated area of Morro Bay.

After determining the man identified as 43-year-old Tony Edward Anderson of Morro Bay was under the influence of alcohol and unable to care for himself they placed him under arrest, helped him to the patrol car and during the pat down weapons search discovered a loaded handgun and four knives. An additional charge of carrying a concealed weapon was lodged against Anderson and he was booked into county jail.

No deputies, nor the suspect, were injured during the encounter.
