San Luis Obispo, CA -- The two men accused of kidnapping and torturing a man in California Valley appeared in court Friday, and one of them Daniel Zeller pleaded not guilty. The other, Phillip Williams, didn’t enter a plea because he had yet to find an attorney. Both suspects are expected to be tried together and will be in court again Dec 2.

Sheriff’s investigators aren’t releasing the name of the victim, nor are they saying anything about a motive for the crime yet. It is believed that the suspects and the victim knew each other.
