Santa Margarita, CA -- The man charged with killing two sisters at their home in Santa Margarita last Christmas day has been told by a local judge to take his meds or risk having forced injections at ASH. Mathew Downs, 21, is considered schizophrenic. He allegedly shot down in cold blood Kathy Yeager and her sister Beverly Reilly. Beverly’s husband Dennis escaped and called police. Downs has entered pleas of not guilty and not guilty by reason of insanity. He appears before Judge John Trice for an update on his condition Nov. 29.
