Shell Beach, CA -- Shell Beach was the scene of a gas line break yesterday morning. Construction workers hit an underground line about 11, prompting an evacuation of about 15 homes in the vicinity of 220 Morro Ave. Initial reports were that a four inch line had been broken, but it was later determined to be a ¾-inch line. Evacuation orders were lifted after SoCal gas crews repaired the damage about 2:30 in the afternoon.
