Arroyo Grande, CA -- A 16-year-old boy charged with burning down a Boy Scout meeting hall in Arroyo Grande last may is going to be charged as an adult for the crime. The arraignment of Brian Ray Bellrose is scheduled for November 17 in the courtroom of Judge John Trice. Bellrose has been charged with 15 felony counts, including arson, burglary, grand theft, and vandalism. An alleged co-conspirator, Caleb Pelletier, has pleaded not guilty to nine felony charges. Pelletier, who is 19 and from Creston, will also appear in Trice’s courtroom November 17. Both were arrested after an anonymous tip. The Boy Scout troop 413 meeting hall was filled with memorabilia, camping gear, and other items. Police found some of it at the boy’s residences. Police also found a butane lighter believed to have been used in the arson May 1.
