San Luis Obispo, CA -- Police are investigating vandalism at a Central Coast Cemetery that might be a Halloween prank. Officers are looking for the people responsible for damaging numerous headstones and monuments at the San Luis Cemetery, many of them dating back to the 1800s. Investigators say the person responsible could face felony vandalism charges and possible jail time, along with financial responsibility for the damage. The damage at the cemetery is about 20-thousand dollars. Officers say because the grave sites are so old and records from that time are limited it will be difficult to locate family members to let them about the damage. Investigators are asking anyone with information about this to come contact them or call Crime Stoppers at 805-549-STOP.
