Nipomo, CA -- San Luis Obispo County Sheriff's Detectives have identified one of two men wanted for a home invasion robbery that happened on the Nipomo Mesa. They say that man, Silas Kanady, is currently in custody at the Santa Barbara County Jail. On August 14, two brothers said they were robbed at gunpoint and tied up at their home in the 2300 block of Callender Road. Deputies said one of the brothers was pistol-whipped.

At the time, investigators said it appeared one victim was followed home from his business in Orcutt. Deputies said it was a random act of violence. Kanady was identified as suspect in a similar incident in Santa Maria and will face charges for both cases in Santa Barbara County Superior Court. The second suspect is still on the lose.
