San Luis Obispo, CA -- San Luis Obispo County Sheriff's deputies are searching for a man who led them on a high speed chase Saturday night. Deputies say they came across a stolen vehicle parked in Oceano around 8:15. That's when they say a man got into the car and sped off. Authorities say they had to eventually call off the vehicle pursuit for safety reasons. The driver reached speeds of up to 95 miles per hour on Highway 1 before crashing into a telephone pole near Grand Avenue. He then ran from the scene. Anybody with information is asked to call the Sheriff’s Department.
